What it is

What is City transformation?

We have chosen to use the words “city transformation,” to emphasize that our mission is more than having one or more Foursquare churches in a city, but to have churches that are positioned to let the culture of the Kingdom rise in the city, so it becomes a blessed city.

The mission of the Church can be understood as a community of followers of Jesus that brings the life and values of the Kingdom in all spheres of life of their city or community.

The role of the whole body of Christ in the city is the become God’s ecclesia in the city: togheter they are an instrument of Kingdom change in the city. This is the collective mission and responsibility of all the churches, ministries, and individual believers in the city.

“…that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (Joh. 21: 21 – 22).

Develop a contextualized Kingdom theology

To Pray for the City (Serving as Priests for the Community)

Make Disciples of People from all Nations and Plant Relevant, local Faith Communities

To Equip the Believers as Kingdom Leaders and Ambassadors in All Spheres of Society

To be a Community of Faith with the Neighborhood: A Model and Agent of Shalom

A ministry of the Global Foursquare Church

The Foursquare Global Council has created a “Shared Mission” Committee for the purpose of coordinating and collaborating a global movement around its foci, Unreached people groups, Muslim populations, City Transformation, and Training and Education.

The Subcommittee on City Transformation is empowered by the Foursquare Global Council to develop shared strategies, training, and projects, to help the churches in urban centers to become instruments of Kingdom transformation. 

In each continent we are developing city pilots and training / mentorship environments, that are designed to empower, equip, and mentor Foursquare churches and leaders in their calling to impact cities with the Kingdom of God.
