Our VISION

Become a transformational agent

The Church is called to be a transformational agent in the mission of God to bring the culture of the Kingdom into the reality of the society. City Transformation, therefore, is a result of the collaborative impact of the Church in a city, working in unity, reaching out to the different cultures and all social classes, demonstrating the Kingdom in love, compassion, deeds of mercy, blessing and demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit, so that corruption, injustice, suppression, poverty, darkness is pushed back and shalom of God is growing.

The effects of the Kingdom are tangible in the marketplace as well as in the church.  If the culture of cities changes, the culture of nations and regions will be impacted as well  and people will be affected by the culture of God’s Kingdom

Jeremiah 29:7

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper”.

Ephesians 6:12

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”.

Acts 17:27

In Acts 17 the story of the Kingdom invading Ephesus influenced the economy and business in the city and there was even a concern that the spiritual influence of the identity of the city was about to change: “and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty”

Our way

Prioritizing a Holistic Missiology

Shalom in all areas of life in the city: Jer 29:7 pray for the city, seek the shalom of the city (change the culture of a by the power of the Kingdom), make disciples, and plant contextualized churches/communities of faith. The goal is to turn cities into a blessing for regions and nations’ Kingdom climate, resources and missionaries of all the cultures of the world.

 Key elements of holistic influence:

  • Cultivating and practicing a Kingdom mindset.
  • Cross-cultural ministries and contextualization of mission as well as expressions of church and of leadership. A foundational element is to find ways to make disciples of people from different cultural, religious, and social backgrounds and make them disciple-makers for their own culture. Out of these contextualized spiritual communities
  • Seeking unity and collaboration with other parts of the Body of Christ in the city as well as with the righteous efforts from the marketplace and government.
  • Minister to the felt and real needs holistically: urban poverty, loneliness, addictions, racial conflicts and discrimination, violence, etc. as well as the reformation of structures and institutes: political, social, economical, cultural, educational, media, etc.
  • Exegeting neighborhoods and communities. You cannot change what you dont know and have compassion for. Doing research, spiritual discernment, and taking inventory of assets and needs (like Nehemiah) is important.
  • Incarnational ministry: the best way to touch people in the urban neighborhoods is to share life together relationally: to live and dwell among them. Followers of Christ must be planted strategically where they live, work and spend their other activities by the Lord to spread the light in their neighborhoods and must be trained to be salt and light right there.
  • Prayer and spiritual warfare are key. Both darkness and light are magnified in a city. Therefore the people of God’s spiritual discernment, effective spiritual warfare, and prayers for the protection and welfare of the people in the city are strategic
  • Training disciples for Kingdom influence and ministry in business, work, home, service, etc.
  • Cultivate and train followers of Jesus to operate in the Gifts and Power of the Spirit in the marketplace. For breakthroughs signs and wonders are crucial
  • Proclamation of the Gospel and disciple-making in all contexts of the city (sub-cultures, worldviews, social backgrounds, etc).
  • Contextualized spiritual communities (of faith)/church gathered/worship/cultivating congregational life
